The Shepherd Center provides compassion, basic support, and assistance to those in our community who need it most. We focus on families, the elderly, the homeless, and others in need. We feed the hungry, clothe the poor, give hope, empower to seek independence, and provide social support.

Food Pantry


Grocery Bag

The Shepherd Center provides a food supplement to approximately 8,000 adults and children every month and it is growing. 



The Food Pantry offers breads, pastries, and produce to low income families and clients living in north Pinellas and south Pasco Counties.


Hours of operation: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.


Entrance to the pantry is located on W. Boyer Street.


The Shepherd Center helps provide meals every day at several Community Kitchens in the area.


The Face of Hunger


What do you think the face of hunger looks like? It is no longer the homeless man or the poorest of poor. It’s your elderly neighbor who must decide between medication or food.

You can help us maintain the supplies for our Food Pantry through a number of ways.

Donations can be dropped off at 304 S. Pinellas Avenue in Tarpon Springs.
